PCS - Primary Care Specialists

Primary Care Specialists has been caring for patients in Memphis, TN since 1992. PCS specializes in family-friendly medicine, providing a number of medical services at our Midtown clinic such as Family Practice, Pediatrics, Well-Woman, Obstetrics, Geriatrics, Minor Medical Procedures, and Urgent Care, as well as providing care in several Memphis Area nursing homes.

Primary Care Specialists offers many health screening and special medical services that meet your healthcare needs. If needed, we will coordinate your referral to a medical specialist.

  • Family and Internal Medical Practice: PCS provides provides both the first contact for a person with an undiagnosed health concern as well as continuing care of varied medical conditions.  PCS also provides routine wellness physical, colon cancer screening, prostate cancer screening, cholesterol profiling, diabetes management, blood pressure management, weight loss consultation, and allergy injection.
  • Well-woman: Primary Care Specialists provides cervical cancer screenings for women.
  • Minor Medical Procedures: Primary Care Specialists is here to assist you with many Minor Medical Procedures and Urgent Care.
  • Pediatric: PCS provides immunization, well-child checkups, and school sports physicals.
  • Obstetric: PCS provides maternity care and postpartum care.

 

Clinic Policies

  • Clinic Hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • New patients, please arrive 20 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment, with your completed pre-registration paperwork.
  • Bring all insurance cards and your photo I.D. or driver's license, so we can verify your insurance information.
  • Insurance co-payments are due the day of service.
  • Please bring all medicines and vitamins you are taking with you to your scheduled appointment. The provider will be reviewing these at your visit.
  • Non-emergency telephone calls after 3:00 p.m. will be returned by the end of the next business day.
  • Prescription refill requests must be received by 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, for same day refill.
  • Narcotic drug refill requests will not be processed after 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
  • No narcotic drug refills will be processed over the weekend.
  • Our Lab is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Only persons listed in the chart may be given information and test results regarding your personal health.
  • If someone else brings your child (under age 18) to his/her appointment, he/she must bring a signed note from the mother, father, or legal guardian (with proof of legal guardianship) allowing PCS to provide him/her with medical care.
  • We would be happy to provide you with a copy of your medical records. Sign a release form and the records will be ready in 7 to 10 days. There is no waiting period to send information from your chart directly to another doctor’s office.
